Clean Up Australia Day - Kincumba Mountain |
Sunday March 7
Thanks to the crew that turned up on Sunday 7 March to clean up the Mountain, thankfully it wasn't a difficult task, as there was very little rubbish around the kiosk and in surrounding bush. This is a great reflection on peoples respect for this very special place, so thankyou to all our patrons and reserve users for keeping it clean!
The only real issue, which seems to be an ongoing one, is that smokers still seem to think that cigarette butts will decompose - rather we are left with little fluffy things full of the nasties that don't make it into the lungs of the person who left it there. Full marks for creativity however - check out the all new hinge ashtray above!! We have butt canisters and will also provide sand filled containers for those who choose to smoke - please use them.
